“The real star of this show is “Lonny” the unofficial narrator played by Dane Stokinger. Mr. Stokinger adds the right amount of sexual ambiguity and attitude that recreates the stereotype rocker of the late 80’s. His voice is clear, his presence is strong, and his character’s attitude is right on the mark. He is part narrator, part character, part comic relief and thoroughly enjoyable.”

about.

Dane Stokinger is a Seattle-based musician who plays an eclectic acoustic mix of covers ranging from Garth Brooks to Whitney Houston. With over 20 years of experience performing professionally as an actor and singer, Dane has headlined shows at the historic 5th Avenue Theatre in downtown Seattle as well as multiple national and international tours including Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. In recent years, he performed with the Tenors of Rock on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America, as well as rocking the socks off Seattle audiences in Rock of Ages at The 5th Avenue Theatre.

“Dig Dane Stokinger as bombastic Chef Louis, the sleeper character of the evening (“Les Poissons”) — you’ll never look at escargot (which I hate anyway) in the same light again.” Disney’s The Little Mermaid National Tour – San Diego Story

“Stokinger is endearing as the lovable lug of a beach bum in jean cut-offs, smitten by love, who also delivers some powerful vocals.” Xanadu at Village Theatre Review – Issaquah Reporter

“Dane Stokinger garners a lion's share of laughs in multiple roles which include everyone from Sir Lancelot to God.” Spamalot at The 5th Avenue Theatre Review – Talkin’ Broadway

“Sky Masterson, played by Village Theatre and Fifth Avenue Theatre favorite Dane Stokinger, is more than a “cool jerk”. Stokinger gets the subtleties of the character from the start, and it’s always a pleasure to hear him sing. “Luck Be a Lady Tonight” was a highlight.” Guys & Dolls at Village Theatre Review – Herald Net

“The star of the show is Dane Stokinger who just NAILS the role of the narrator Lonny. He OWNS it. You can feel the audience get a little bit of giddy anticipation each time he came back on stage, which, lucky for us, is often.” Rock of Ages at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Review – Seattle Pockets
